Coldwell Banker Success Southwest Donates
More Than $6000 to Green Valley Charities
January 28, 2005
GREEN VALLEY - Coldwell Banker Success Southwest agents donated
more than $6000 to provide housing, education, and social
services in the community this fall. Green Valley Assistance
Services, Green Valley Community Food Bank, and
Habitat for Humanity received the funds, which were
raised through the Coldwell Banker Success Charitable Foundation.
Each year, the Coldwell Banker Success Charitable Foundation
receives contributions from Coldwell Banker Success Southwest
agents. The company matches the agents' contributions, doubling
the total amount available for charitable giving. In addition
to the money raised through this program, Coldwell Banker
Success Southwest agents also donate time, energy, and money
to many other worthy causes in the community.
The Coldwell Banker Success Southwest donation will help
provide the needy with essential aid through Green Valley
Assistance Services. This organization aids the elderly, people
with disabilities, and low-income families. Green Valley Assistance
Services offers help through case management and monetary
assistance to families in need. They also operate the Green
Valley Interfaith Volunteer Corps and seasonal holiday programs.
The Green Valley Community Food Bank will use the Coldwell
Banker Success Southwest funds to provide food for those who
cannot afford it. The Food Bank supplies the elderly with
supplemental groceries through the Senior Brown Bag program
and offers Emergency Food Boxes to individuals and families
in need. The organization also operates Food Plus, a food
salvage center, and a Value Food Store.
The Coldwell Banker Success Southwest donation will help
Habitat for Humanity with its mission to provide a "hand up"
not a "hand out" to poverty stricken adults and children.
The funds will help Habitat for Humanity build affordable
homes for low-income families, which recipients purchase with
a zero interest mortgage. To receive assistance from Habitat
for Humanity, homeowners must contribute 400 hours of sweat
equity, as well as a $1,000 down payment.
The Success Southwest division of Coldwell Banker in Tucson
and Green Valley, with nearly 450 agents, is locally owned
and operated, yet enjoys the benefits of its affiliation with
the Coldwell BankerŪ Real Estate Corporation worldwide. With
38 Arizona office locations and more than 2,400 real estate
professionals, the 53 year-old Success organization sells
an average of one Arizona home every 25 minutes, every day
of the year.
